Coney Island can be often viewed as a condensed New York, and it is once refereed as “The heaven at the end of the subway ride”. As a popular spot for summer getaway, anyone can get on the subway to get here.
My project will express displacement through time and memory; the relationship between the human body and the physical material world.
My photography explores the processes of memory and identity. In this series, I focus on fabric and clothing as subject matter; shrouded female figures are set in relation to varying environments.
