‘The Modern Paradise - Calpe, Spain’

La Muralla Roja, ‘the Red Wall’ in Spanish is a postmodern apartment complex in Calpe, Spain, which is designed by Spanish architect Richard Bofill in 1968. The complexity of color is both contrasted and complemented by the environment, which ultimately creates a great illusion of the space. The outer red and blue patios produce various blendings of each other, and colorful landscape further strengthen the dynamic chroma of the scene.

As a visual artist, I am reconstructing images through geometry and colors. The series explores the fine line between reality and fantasy using the language of colors and subtly manipulated spaces which also empowers the viewers to travel those spaces with different entrances. I rebuild individual urban environment based on their alternate personality with the help of a constant negotiation of simple lines and hyper-real colors.
