A New World of Self Expression

Project overview

As Creative Director for Spaceverse, I led the creative development of a browser-based interactive platform that fuses gaming, luxury fashion, and immersive storytelling. The project aimed to build a visually rich, gamified digital world that would be accessible globally—eliminating the need for app downloads while maintaining the high-end aesthetics expected of a luxury brand experience.

My role involved defining the creative vision, directing visual storytelling across 3D environments and character design, and overseeing the integration of real-time interactive features within the technical limitations of a browser-based game. I guided a multidisciplinary team of designers, Unreal Engine artists, and developers, implementing AI-enhanced workflows to optimize content production and creative iteration.

Throughout the process, I partnered closely with executives and stakeholders to ensure creative alignment with business objectives, driving audience engagement among Gen Z and Web3 communities. The success of Spaceverse resulted in significant media coverage, high user interaction, and secured $10M in venture funding from major investors including Polychain, Pantera, and Accel—solidifying Space Runners’ leadership in the future of digital fashion.

The Market Opportunity 

The luxury fashion industry lacked engaging, scalable digital experiences that could drive long-term user engagement. Existing platforms remained static, leading to high customer acquisition costs (CAC) and low retention rates. With Millennials and Gen Z projected to account for 95% of future luxury spending, we saw an opportunity to redefine digital fashion experiences by introducing a fully immersive metaverse platform tailored to their digital-first behaviors and expectations.

Audience Behavior & Digital Experience Strategy

Through extensive market research and behavioral analysis, I led efforts to understand the digital consumption habits of Millennials and Gen Z, who spend an average of 8.5+ hours per day on digital platforms. These insights informed our strategy and design approach:

  • Users expressed a strong demand for highly interactive, customizable virtual environments that reflect their personal identity and social presence.

  • Based on these findings, we designed immersive features such as:

Virtual Try-Ons – allowing users to engage with fashion in a tactile digital format.

Interactive Runways – merging storytelling and commerce into a seamless experience.

Customizable Avatars – enabling self-expression and deeper engagement in digital spaces.

By aligning our creative vision with cultural trends and user expectations, we successfully developed a next-generation digital fashion experience that enhances self-expression, social connectivity, and engagement within the metaverse.
